Pleiad manufactures technically advanced Tray and Packed Type distillation columns with Sieve, Bubble cap and Valve trays, and random as well as structured packing.
A Distillation Column works on the principle of distillation, which is the process of separating two or more liquids, having different boiling points (relative volatility), from a mixture / solution. Though this process might sound simple, the different organic liquids involved in the process, can cause complications, and hence require careful consideration while designing the distillation column. This requires thorough knowledge of the compounds involved and their dynamics under the influence of temperature & pressure. The team at PLEIAD, with its decades of experience have gained a comprehensive grasp on the compounds and their dynamics.
Typically, a distillation column includes a vertical cylinder, which can be separated into three different sections –
- A Reboiler (heat exchanger) at the bottom
- A column with trays and weirs / packing in the middle
- A condenser at the top
